Here’s to the Rebels and Misfits!

2011 April 16

Here’s to the crazy one’s . . . the misfits and rebels, the one’s who think differently . . . the one’s who change the world!

Here’s to the crazy ones.

The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. ~ Apple, Inc.

You are special, one of a kind – dare to follow your own path. There’s always room for a few more rebels in the world!

    I was always the rebel.
    Everywhere.

In whatever I did differently or innovatory, that label was never far from my neck. But such test under the flames was necessary to come out stronger, harder, taller, meaner, leaner and much more.

I’m glad, no, make that proud, to be a rebel!

    Marty,
So simple and so profound. Many of us (including myself…) can feel at times that we need permission to be that rebel, some will not like us, many will criticize our ways, some will condemn us, it’s not going to be easy, but in a way it’s a must.
I subscribed to your feed and would love to read/watch more of your sharings ;-)

    Thanks.

Although I don’t agree with the intro to the video. It is very powerful none the less. All of the individuals have had success to some degree for who they were as a person and what they accomplished in their life. The fact that some call them crazy, misfits and rebels just doesn’t make sense because a few those individuals are inspirational leaders, perhaps risk takers no matter how they lived their life they certainly left a lasting impression in history, and much can be learned from each of them.

Thanks for stopping by and for your thoughtful comment. You are certainly correct in that the individuals in the video are seen today as inspirational leaders – maybe not so much when they began their journeys though. After all, viewing the video today we have the benefit of hindsight :-)

Hooray for rebels and misfits!! I love this video – thanks for sharing it – it helped stoke the misfit in me :) It can be a lonely road – so thanks for the reminder that the good far outweighs the bad on this journey :)
